If you suspect it is severely clogged, you may also consider using CLR cleaner instead of vinegar. Leave the bag to sit on it for a few hours. You may choose to do it after your family has showered and before you go to bed. When you remove the bag, you will want to run water out of the nozzles for a few minutes to remove the vinegar or CLR from it. You should have more pressure and no clogged nozzles.

If you want to make sure that all particles are gone, you can run your finger over the nozzles, especially if they are rubber nozzles. This will further dislodge anything that may have built into a solid mass inside of it.

Using Tools to Clean Your Shower Head

In the event that tools are necessary; this is also relatively simple. You might need to use a wrench to take it off the supply water line. You can fill your bathroom sink with vinegar and water or CLR. Put it into the water and allow it to soak for a few hours. Before you put it back into the shower, you may want to use a toothbrush to clean the spray nozzles. By doing this, you will be able to flush out the entire unit with water and dump out larger pieces of buildup that may be clogging the head.

To reinstall, you will want to use Teflon tape to ensure there are no leaks, because you can lose water pressure that way as well. You do not have to run the shower to rinse it, but you may want to turn it on and ensure that it is working the way you want it to work when you have finished reinstalling it.
